I have found the following document useful for those who wish to ask questions:

http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

If most read the above article, I anticipate the m0n0 forums becoming efficiently helpful.

That's linked on the website by the mailing list info, but should be here as well. Thanks for posting here, I'll put this at the top.

On behalf of yr. humble author and Eric, I hope you find that essay useful.

On occasion, Eric and I get misdirected support queries from the numerous projects that hyperlink to the essay.  (We just got one a minute ago, for example, from a M0n0wall user who wasn't paying attention when browsing links fromhttp://m0n0.ch/wall/mailinglist.php, probably.)

If you wouldn't mind doing us a favour:  It'd be cool if you could modify the text on http://m0n0.ch/wall/mailinglist.php to remind M0n0wall users that the essay's authors aren't a M0n0wall helpdesk.  Thanks!
