m0n0wall Forum - Monowall Hang after one week

Hi

I am running Monowall with 300 users. After a period of one week + users cant get the captive portal login page. This had happened several about 2-3 times this month.

I am using a Pentium 4 Processor with 512 MB processor. Each user has a limit of 10MB using traffic shaper.

I suppose there are many uses trying to use Bit Torrent or streaming. We also have a Radius Server to authenticate users from the Captive Portral.

When the Monowall does not allow give a captive portal login page to users what we do is to reset the machine and things go back to good. After 1 week plus it hangs again.

Could you help me on what shoud i do so that it stays stable all the time.

I have a kiwi sys log daemon server to log events from monowall.

I could send over a screen capture of the captive portal monowall if required.

Could it be due to the state table 30,000 size. usually 40 - 50 users are online.

Could using Bit Torrent open up many connections which woud utilize the state table size.

Any suggestions appreciated.
