Hello,

I use M0n0wall for wifi hotspots (portal function).
Is it possible to make a script (php) to check al the hotspots and says online or offline.
How can I check that a hotspot (M0n0wall) is online?

Can't you use SNMP for all your devices?

Is it possible to send every day a email with a cron-job or someting?
Or do you think of something else?

like Uluen said, use snmp if you can. with a good monitoring system, you can set it to send email if your hotspot is online or offline.

Thanks for your replay!

Whats a good monitor system?
Is that a script on the M0n0wall computer or a php webscript?
Where can I found something like that?

If your devices support SNMP then a Virtual Cacti appliance could be a convenient way to go.  I use one from clicky If you use the monitoring plug-in it can send you messages if the devices go off line.

A lot of data is send bij SNMP but when I don't what it is I can't make a monitor page of it.
