I searched here on MW and I also searched google and actually went to the third and fourth pages of results. I can't seem to find a way to have MW redirect all Port80 traffic to my Squid server and pull up pages. (and it actually work)

I found a page that stated they add some rules in advancedoutbound and were able to do it. I tried it and it didn't allow me to access anything... ping host/IP or 80/22...

Has anyone been able to do this? If so, could you post how it was done so that I and others can use it?

Thanks,

Michael

I don't know if this works with m0n0wall but in the past I configured the default gateway in the DHCP server to point to the proxy server, that worked fine.
That proxy also did SMTP/POP3/AV, basically all traffic went through it but that's not what you want I guess.

Uluen,

Thanks for the reply.

I'm trying to think in my head (at work) on how that might work. I guess since the squid server will have the correct default gateway, it might forward the requests (essentially the same as adding the proxy's IP in the browser) as it does normally.

I'm not wanting all the traffic, as you stated, to route through the proxy. I guess it wouldn't be a big deal but, I'd rather not.

I'll try this and see how it works tonight when I get home. I need to up my IPs anyways, it'll be a good time to change it out. (/28 to a /27 or so.)

Thanks and I'll report what happens or if I figure it out tonight.

Michael

I didn't get a chance to test it. I'll be picking up a thin client tomorrow and I'll see about testing it when I set the thin client up.

If anyone has anything to comment on this, please do. Whether it can't be done or possible suggestions.

Thanks,

Michael
