Am running beta 1.3b15.
Am unable to use Radius authentication for captive portal though am sure i used it before. Not too sure if it was on the beta version though. all those late nights vodka didnt help.  Huh

I have checked and my radius server is running well. added Monowall as a client, etc.
On the router, relevant ports are opened as well.

My setup is

internet->monowall->router->LAN(where my radius server is)

First of all, has anyone experienced this at all. Secondly, where do i find out if monowall attempts to authenticate a captive portal user via Radius? I cant find anything in the logs.

Any help will be great

Check Captive Portal page for radius server ip and port number. Port number  default 1812 (don't leave blank). Go radius server run radiusd -X in console. This command for radius debugging. When client try authenticate shown here. Also you check m0n0wall -> Diagnostics -> Logs - > Captive Portal for debug.
Good luck.

Hmmmmm I did all this before.
no packets going through my router at all. As for the server.... nothing hitting it, i mean radius authentication from monowall. Other devices work fine, just the firewall. It was working before and nothing has changed. Actually something has changed but that really should not affect it. I have subnetted my  network. If that makes sense.
I will work on it when i have a minute and report back as i think it will help others if it works. fingers crossed

Do you have the radius server on the LAN side???
Normaly it's on the WAN side...
Use as vendor Cisco (on both sides)
