Spent ages trying to make this work looked everywhere etc...
have 2 subnets 192.168.0.0 and 192.168.1.0
each subnet has its own servers including dhcps and own adsl connections.
I want to put a monowall box between the 2 to route traffic freely from 1 to another, but not do anything else.
I have pointed the gateways to the monowall on each side, but only seem to be able to ping the gateway on each side but nothing more.

Must be quite easy to do surely....
Thanks in advance.
Chris

Right,
I setup a centos box with 2 nics and disabled the firewall and issued# echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
and it worked.  So I know the other routers are configed correctly.
I just need to disable the firewall and get forwarding from 1 nic to the other.
Anyone 1 have any ideas.
Thanks
Chris

If that's all you need to do, why use m0nowall? Any OS with a decent network stack will forward across interfaces.

Fair point.  I was hopeing to use a small embedded box instead of a full blown server/desktop whirring away day and night.

You still can. There are small distributions that run from floppy or flash. But it might be just as easy to come up with the rules you need to make m0n0wall work.
