I'm using monowall 1.235 on a neoware thin-client computer.

As far as I can tell, everything is configured correctly in the web admin.

I isolate my current, working router (WRT54G running dd-WRT), and connect my cable modem to the monowall. I use ipconfig to release then renew the IP on my XP Pro box. The monowall gives me a new ip and gateway, but I can't reach the internet. I check the wan graph in monowall and there is activity. The firewall log is logging stuff....

What am I overlooking?

I got this working now. It seems that the WAN interface, while showing traffic, actually wasn't getting an IP from my ISP (DHCP). I cycled the power on the cable modem a couple times, and mono finally got the wan IP.

For some reason, I always find that if I change the device attached to a cable modem you have to cycle the power.  It seems to keep the MAC address of the connected device and won't give an IP address to anything else unless you cycle the power.
