I've currently got monowall 1.3b15 running on generic PC hardware. I'll be buying a soekris 48xx or an ALIX embedded system and want to migrate monowall to that. I realize that the distros are different for each of these, so here is my plan and will this work.

1. Save current config to another computer.
2. Setup another CF card with monowall 1.3b15 for whatever hardware I go with (soekris or ALIX) using physdiskwrite.
3. Load the config from step one onto the new install on new hardware.
4. Be happy that this worked?

Has anybody done this with success? I don't see why it won't work unless the config.xml files are different for each distro (seems unlikely, but WTH do I know)!

Thanks in advance for any input.

should work just fine but after step 2 you will need to connect to the serial port and assign the network interfaces and again after step 3.

Oh yes, I forgot that step, but I thought I'd have to do that again.
