Hi

I'm running a M0n0Wall v1.3b11 on a wrap board (basically an ALIX board)
wich acts as a IPsec router to four locations.

   vr0 - LAN
   vr1 - WAN

Both interfaces have static ip addresses.

Whenever i unplug the network cable of the LAN interface and reconnect it, the device
will no longer be available on the network. I can see that the green LED are flashing
on the NIC sockets of the ALIX board but when i try to ping the device with the internal IP
there is no answer.

After doing a power cycle on the wrap everything works again.

Last time this happend on Sat. because the core switch, to wich the mono is connected
with the internal NIC, had to be rebootet. This lead to the LAN interface disconnect/reconnect
while the switch was booting.

What could be the problem?
Broken NIC?
Damaged cable?
Missing ALLOW Firewall rules?

The firewal rules for the LAN interface will only allow ICMP/TCP/UDP incoming
from the LAN targeting to the remote locations ip ranges.

Any hints would be very helpfull.

I would suggest you give 1.3b15 a try.
