Have had it like half a year, but never got a chanse to try it out....until today.
And it does not work, from a brand new (not mine though but got my hands on it for a little while) Vista-laptop. It sees the network, signal strength is on top, but after trying to enter passphrase it says there's some problem but doesn't give any clue to what it is....something with authentication anyway.

I even tried turning off WPA+WPA2 that I had as default, so it was totally open, but still didn't want to connect. The hardware is supposed to work, and its set as hostap.

Is it likely my tiny mini-pci wireless card in the ALIX-machine is broken?
Or could it be some obvious setting I have missed?

My guess is its broken, I just cant see why it shouldn't work, and then I guess its just to throw out that card and if I really want wireless some day I will have to buy a big bulky AP and put into my switch in a separate VLAN Sad
