Hi -

I'm running 1.3b18 with a fairly standard gateway configuration. My IPv4 setup is DHCP on the WAN. I'm running 6to4 as well for IPv6 access.

This setup seems to work very well, with one exception. I can't seem to ping the LAN link local address. Pings through the router to IPv6 hosts on the WAN (such as ipv6.google.com) work fine.

I think that perhaps I am missing a basic setting somewhere, but I've double checked and don't see anything.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

You must ping the address starting with 2002:... at the LAN-Interface.
It works for me and I can moreover access m0n0wall through IPv6.

Hi dw*

Thank you for the response.

I too am able to ping the m0n0wall global IPv6 address from the LAN. The issue however is that I would also like to be able to ping the m0n0wall link-local IPv6 address from the LAN, which is what seems not to work. This works on most other IPv6 enabled routers that I have used including the Apple Airport, D-Link DIR-615 C1, and Cisco 2611XM.

I'm wondering if this is a bug or if it is a configurable option somewhere that I am missing.

Best Regards,
-M
