Good evening,

I would like to install an OS (Pyramid) on a compact flash card. After having downloaded it, and extrated physdiskwrite.exe, I can run it.

If I double-click on it nothing happens, and if I use cmd prompt, typing

"physdiskwrite pyramid-1.0b6-img.gz"

the prompt warns me that physdiskwrite is not recognized as a program.

Does someone knows why ? Or has an idea to install Pyramid on a CF using windows ?

Thanks a lot

PS : I know I have already posted a thread in the french forum, but this one seems to be more visited.

physdiskwrite.exe is a Windows program. You can either run it from the Windows command Prompt and pass all the required command line options, or you can just drag and drop a valid image file onto the physdiskwrite icon.

I don't think pyramid-1.0b6-img.gz is a valid image file. It looks more like a gzipped image that will have to be gunzipped to get the actual image. But I could be wrong.

Where are you getting these items and what instructions are you trying to follow?

I'm following the explanation on

http://code.google.com/p/pyramidlinux/wiki/InstallingPyramidPhysDiskWrite

Apparently there is a little mistake, they might have forget to precise that it is a zipped file.

I tried to extract pyramid-1.0b6.img.gz, and I got pyramid-1.0b6.img.

I drag and drop the image file onto the physdiskwrite icon, and it works.

Thank you, have a nice evening
