I'd like to build a monowall 1.3 image but I am getting problems in the compile process. Is there anyone who can make these changes to Monowall 1.3 and send me and ISO?

1.   The size of the RAM disk that Monowall runs in needs to be changed to 512MB (15MB right now)
2.   The size of the firewall state table to 100,000 (Requrres kernel recompile – it’s 30,000 right now)
3.   The size of the network buffers to 65,536 (it’s 1024 right now)

Need to have a bootable CD image with those three changes.

I can help you building customized m0n0 but without kernel recompilation (without 2-nd change).
I manage m0n0wall mod project:
http://code.google.com/p/m0n0wall-mod/
So I can provide you image based on original m0n0wall or m0n0wall mod.

Hi Thedix,
Thanks I appreciate the help. Is it possible for you to give me instructions on how to make those 2 changes? I'd like to try doing it myself. I need un-modded m0n0wall 1.3

Sorry for absence. You can try m0n0dev:
http://www.askozia.com/m0n0dev/
It will help you building custom kernel too.

After much work I was able to get m0n0dev to work. However I'm getting an error at the point of installing the new image onto the box.

The error is:

/etc/rc.initial: /etc/rc.initial.setlanip file not found

This occurs as soon as an option is chosen from the boot options screen before m0n0wall is installed from the image.

I've checked the source director for the image on FreeBSD and both the rc.initial and rc.initial.setlanip files exist.

Has anyone else ran into this problem?

image location is http://www.activeobjects.net/monowall/m0n0wall-cdrom-myimage.iso in case you want to take a look

I tried to boot using your image, you can see results in attachment.
/etc/rc can not find rc.bootup.
Seems there is problem with paths.

Hi Thdixx,
Thanks I noticed this as well later yesterday. Is there a change to the m0n0dev.php script which I need to make in order to solve this?
