Weird problem to me

I want to connect to an ftp server on the internet ftp[dot]pwsrotterdam[dot]nl
With filezilla or direct from the internet explorer but no connection/authentication is possible.

i've tested this finaly with only 2 rules in it the monowall
LAN
Proto     Source     Port     Destination     Port     Description
*         *            *            *                    *            Default LAN -> any
WAN
Proto     Source     Port     Destination     Port     Description
*            *            *             *                    *            allow all

Setup is ADSL modem -> monowall 1.3 -> XP workstation

I can connect to any other ftp server with this setup
And i can connect to this ftp server when i connect the workstation directly to the adsl modem.

Any idea would be appreciated

Still unreachable from here. I can not even telnet to the ftp control port. Are you sure it's running on port 21?
