I'm sorry if this has been covered in a different context, but I'm stumped and everything similar that I've found has been of no help.

I have 2 DSL connections, one for my VoIP network and one for my computer network. I also have 2 M0n0walls behind each of my modems.

What I'm trying to do is connect the OPT1 port of my computer network M0n0wall to the switch behind the VoIP network M0n0wall so I can setup my ATAs and SSH into my PBX etc. from my computer.

My computer network is 10.1.1.0/24
My VoIP network is 192.168.1.0/24

I setup the OPT1 card with an IP of 192.168.1.100

Working on the computer network m0n0wall, I setup a firewall rule on the OPT1 port allowing all traffic from the OPT1 subnet to pass to the LAN subnet.
the LAN interface has the default rule that allows all traffic to pass out to anywhere

From my computer (10.1.1.155) I cannot ping my PBX at 192.168.1.230
From the M0n0wall I CAN ping my PBX using the OPT1 port
From the PBX I cannot ping my computer

Am I missing something or will this setup just not work the way I think it will?

Ok, finally, I got my PBX to respond

I just needed to add a static route to my PBX to tell it that 10.1.1.0/24 could be found at 192.168.1.100

I'm guessing that everything that I want communication with in the 192.168.1.0/24 space will need a static route configured as well.
