I've noticed a brief, 1-sec or less, spike in my CPU usage every 40 seconds or so (3 spikes every two minutes of graph).  Normal?  what service is doing this?

I haven't had any connection/dropping issues, but with a rather small CPU in the Nortel Contivity 100 (and limited RAM upgradeability), I'm worried about the potential

No idea to be honest, haven't see this on my platforms (alix , generic-pc) but I don't watch CPU often, though I did for a while to see if I see this happen.

/status.php#Processes on your m0n0 will indicate %cpu per process if you can catch it

thanks!  though, after refreshing the page like half a dozen times trying to catch the process, its basically impractical LOL!

I found a right up on how to do a processor upgrade to a Nortel Contivity 100, I've got a spare K6-550/100 I can drop in (compared to the 300/66? in it now).  If I ever get around to pulling the box and upgrading it, I won't have to worry about the spikes
