Multiple subnets on LAN side with routing to WAN

Hello all,
I was wondering if it is possible to have multiple subnets on the LAN side (e.g. 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24). Is it then possible to route traffic from one subnet to the other and route traffic between both subnets and the WAN side?
Best regards,
Jan Sipke

Sure. It's a fairly common configuration for say a LAN and a DMZ. Specific rules are needed to allow the subnets to communicate with each other. See the m0n0wall handbook section 13.

Note that multi-netting (Having multiple IPs in multiple subnets on one interface or in one collision domain) is both insecure and bad network practice. It can make troubleshooting all but imposable, and you will have collisions and arp issues if it is heavily loaded. Consider multiple nics or vlans in this case.
