CPU load jump's to 100% after changing Captive portal Contents and restarting service.
My hardware is Dell 2.4 GHz 512 RAM with 2 3Com NICs. running v 1.32
the number of customers in the same time that has been disconnected is about 45+
CPU load stays 100% for about 2-3 minutes or more depends - i guess- on the number of clients are trying to connect on the same time.
the captive portal contents size is 52KB for Images, and 6 KB for login and error pages.
i see a limit in Captive portal Page for Maximum concurrent connections to the HTTPs server.
is this related to the CPU load? and if could, could it be a limit for both types of connections http or https?
is this is normal? and if it is true, is there is benchmark for this?
or this could be a bug? if we supposed that each client is trying to connect to the CP server using more than 1 connection which doubles the number of concurrent connections to the CP server.

best regards.

Sometimes misbehaved auto-update clients (e.g. Windows Update etc.) on computers that are behind the captive portal (but that are not logged in) can hammer the CP web server with repetitive requests. Try setting a limit of 5 concurrent connections per IP address in the captive portal config.

that means the limit applies for both http and https connections? as i am using http authentication.
