Hello

I try to setup my first monowall system with Generic PC Version 1.32.

This Monowall Box is a P2 System with 512 MB Ram filled up with an ICP Raid
Controller and 3 SCSI Drives (Raid 5). I also added 5 NIC's for some Lan Routing Jobs.

3x 3Com 3c905C-TX Fast Etherlink XL with driver (xl) and two 10 Mbit Cards (ep driver).
3Com 3C509-Combo EtherLink III used as WAN Interface PPOE.
3Com 3C509B-Combo EtherLink III (PnP) should be connected to a seperated Management Network.

Note: The Catalyst WS-C2916M-XL is a 4Meg Switch. That device cant support 802.1q trunking by it self but i added a WS-X2914-XL-V switch 4-port 10/100 ISL/802.1Q  module.  The IOS Version is c2900XL-hs-mz-112.8.12-SA6.bin and supports trunking too, so i hope it will work fine when its configured correctly.

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

In case of dot1q, you need to make sure that the native VLAN matches across the link.
By default, the native VLAN is 1. Depending on your network needs, you may change
the native VLAN to be other than VLAN1, but it is very important that you change the native VLAN on the router accordingly.

Can anybody tell me how to set the native VLAN within monowall? An other point is that i am not sure how i can do some debug / tasting that vlan communication between the switch and monowall works correcty.

Thanks for any help.
