Hi all,
Thank you for m0n0wall. It's working well for me for years on several installations.
I have a question about voltage.
The voltage seems a little low to me but the system is running well for a household of six people all using the netzwork.
Below is output from my System Information.
Should I be concerned about any of this?
The 12v is suspicious to me.

System information
Name    m0n0wall.local
Version         1.32
built on Sat Apr 17 21:02:13 CEST 2010
Platform        Generic PC (CD-ROM)

Last config change      Sun Oct 24 4:58:06 GMT-8 2010
CPU usage       view graph
Memory usage    24%
System Temperatures
Sensor 0        252.0°C
Sensor 1        251.0°C
Sensor 2        255.0°C
System Fans
Fan 0   1196 rpm
Fan 1   4753 rpm
Fan 2   4720 rpm
System Voltages
+3.3v   +2.59 V
+5v     +4.38 V
+12v    +9.97 V
-12v    -9.18 V
-5v     -4.00 V
Core Voltages
Core 0  +2.56 V
Core 1  +2.58 V

Are the numbers m0n0wall shows in gray (inside the little boxes) the nominal voltages? That is, are these the voltages that should be provided to the system?

The physical system...
HP Vectra, 1997 geborenen; running m0n0wall 1.32, two ethernet cards, 125 MB of RAM, 266 MHz Pentium II Klamath processor, external SCSI, sound card, graphics card, one hard disk -- 6GB Quantum Fireball.

Thanks.

I don't know if the voltage is a problem or not.

However, temperatures of the order of 250.0°C are not possible without flame also being present, making me question any or all of those figures.

Get a multimeter and measure a 12v wire against ground.
It will be a yellow wire.

All of your voltages are off more than 10%.
Probably false readings.
You will get more accurate reading from the bios.

Seems like it is working good.

monowall probably wont pull accurate readings unless the power supply is under load. Does your hdd spin down?

Maybe there is a problem with the sensors chip on the board, measure the ambient temperatures around important areas of the board with a digital thermometer also take a voltmeter and check all of the offered voltages from the PSU, if in doubt just change the PSU.
