Hi All

Please help me explain this, I downloaded the GFI Languard V8 and did a security scan on my Network, basically took my public IP address range and did a scan.

Results came up with all my NAT address as well as these two Back DoorOpen Ports. ( If you Google it - Trojan Ports )

KiLo(6666) & KiLo(6667)

What are these, my WAN rules only specify 21, 22, 443, 80.

Please help this with this, it worries me.....!

Thx

If you don't have that port open it has to be a false positive. If you'd like, PM me your IP range and I'll scan you with nmap. LanGuard isn't nearly as good of a tool for port scanning as nmap.

Where are you scanning from, somewhere outside your network on the Internet I presume?

Hello,

This situation was encountered when using a NetGear Cable/DSL router and NAT was being used. Can you please review the following Kbase Article for further information:

Hi Mark

Thx for the reply, I am using a Linksys WRT54GL in the back, the GFI scan on this device resuls are correct with only port 80, 22, 23 open. I do However have a Netgear 10Mb hub between my m0n0wall and the Linksys WRT54GL.

Thx once again for the feedback.

Wow, and GFI support shows up!   Grin  How's that for customer service?

No offense to LANguard meant with the "nmap is a better port scanner" comment - I think LANguard is a decent product, just IMO there isn't a better port scanner anywhere than nmap. LANguard is much more in depth than a port scanner. My employer is a GFI customer (MailSecurity) by my choosing, so I'm not bashing GFI products.

satlizard26, if you're still seeing that, you can pm me your IP (or if it's the one you use the forum from, I know what it is since I'm an admin) and I can scan you with nmap for comparison purposes.
