I had m0n0wall working great for about three year. Lately I have been having some problems.

1. The first and I think the root cause of the rest is the fact that M0n0wall appears to be getting an ip of 0.0.0.0 and netmask of 255.0.0.0 from my cable modem. I have had to put a netgear router in place to get internet and it gets a valid IP address. As a test, I plugged my m0n0wall into the netgear lan ports and when I refresh the WAN ip in m0n0wall I get a valid private ip address.

The cable modem has been replaced and the ISP says everything looks right on their end. I tend to believe them since the netgear works correctly.

I upgraded the firmware to embedded image for 1.33 in an attempt to resolve these issues because I thought the image I was running may have been corrupted somehow.

2. In addition, I am unable to get to the internet via ping or browsing (I believe a symptom of the above)

3. I have the LAN set for 192.168.0.1 subnet. I also have a DMZ configured for OOMA phone service on 192.168.3.1 subnet. What's interesting is that on the LAN side I frequently get 192.168.3.1 addresses for my computers on the private lan. My board has three adapters and if I release and renew I usually get a 192.168.0.1 address.

Please help...
