Every time i attempt to update anything and I hit the save button it takes up to a minute for the save or apply changes process to complete. 

Any ideas?

Sounds like a bad drive you're trying to write too.
Are you sure the setting is saved? A reboot should do to trick for that to find out.

What are you saving to? Flash drive? CF card? Hard drive?
