i noticed monowall could run on a cf card...is it possible to run it on cisco routers? i got this idea coz routers are meant to run 24x7 where pc's dont....

No, Cisco routers are proprietary hardware. PCs can run 24/7 no problem, they're designed to do so. Or get an ALIX or similar.

If you're in an enterprise environment and are a VMWare shop, it works great on a VM. Just use the VM image, or mount the 'generic pc' image as an optical drive and set it to boot.
