Hi all,

as I just read in another post, from 480 on mpd was changed. http://forum.m0n0.ch/index.php/topic,5454.0.html

My personal problems were solved with 480, so I did not look further. But I just upgraded from 480 to 484, and now in my logfile this shows up:

Code:
mpd: mpd.conf:23: Error in 'set ipcp dns 172.16.0.1 2001:4860:4860::8888': invalid IP address: '2001:4860:4860::8888'

so there seems to be another problem with dns in this version of mpd.
2001:4860:4860::8888 is the Google DNS is set up in the "System -> General Setup" pane.

Let me know of anything that can help to investigate that problem!

Kindest,

maybeapreacher

Good catch! Please try b488, which should fix the issue (by not including IPv6 DNS servers in the ipcp dns statement of mpd.conf).

Hi,

don't know why my post is not shown...  Huh anyway:

I updated to the new version and still got the same error:

Code:
mpd: mpd.conf:23: Error in 'set ipcp dns 172.16.0.1 2001:4860:4860::8888': invalid IP address: '2001:4860:4860::8888'

In "System -> General Setup" I set the following DNS Servers
- 2001:4860:4860::8888
- 8.8.8.8
in that order.

Version            1.8.0b488 built on Tue Jan 24 11:40:14 CET 2012
Platform            PC Engines ALIX
Hardware crypto    AMD Geode LX Security Block

Ah, damn, missed one possible DNS configuration case. Should work in b489, which is being built as we speak...

great, it works. Thanks a lot!

Instead of the error I now see:

Code:
Jan 24 21:05:43 dnsmasq[91]: using nameserver 8.8.8.8#53
Jan 24 21:05:43 dnsmasq[91]: using nameserver 2001:4860:4860::8888#53

On a side note: When I browse this site I use IPv6 (at least that is what my firefox-plugin says) and yet the IP saved from the forum is my IPv4 ;-)

EDIT: never mind: it is unknow. And the other posts I wrote form IPv4 ;-)
