I have the following setup

ISP modem connected to m0n0wall
m0n0wall connected to switch
switch connected to Windows 2008 R2 server (No DHCP, DNS and Active Directory)
All workstations connected to switch.

Here is my question. What are the proper settings in m0n0wall for DNS? I want the m0n0wall to do DHCP and the Windows Server to do DNS and AD. The workstations are not registering in the DNS manager on the Windows Server??

I have set the following in m0n0wall is this correct??

General setup
hostname, domain both SET
DNS set to ip of windows server and then Google DNS
Allow DNS server list not checked

DNS forwarder
Enable DNS forwarder, Enable All Servers, Register DHCP leases in DNS forwarder CHECKED
no other setting

Can anyone help Thanks

All machines connected to switch behind m0n0wall talk to each other thru the switch. That traffic does not pass thru m0n0wall at all so there is nothing you can set in m0n0wall to influence that traffic.

M0n0wall provides an IP from the DHCP at workstation startup and at that time it should register in the DNS on the windows server but it is not. So what i am looking for is if i have DNS set correctly in m0n0wall to make this happen

When m0n0wall gives an IP via DHCP, have it set WINS and DNS to the Windows AD server.  Point the DNS forwarder option in the Windows DNS at the m0n0wall IP.
