Hello, I am looking into Monowall (moving from SWE) and wanted to know if it supports scheduled WOL for client computer. I have a small office that I want to be able to wake the computers on a schedule before people arrive.

Thank you,

Matthew

There is a wake on lan option on /services_wol.php however i don't think there's currently a schedule option for WOL, i don't know about the beta releases.

Anyhow You could write an external shell script that uses wget or curl which could invoke WOL using the m0n0 web gui.

By the way, what is SWE?

Not a bad idea for the scheduler. However, it is possible to execute via the scheduler so you should be able to work out something.

I've implemented the possibility to WOL via the scheduler to r536 (1.8b).
You'll have to add a description to your stored MAC addresses (on the 'Wake on LAN' page) though. Otherwise they will not show up on the scheduler page.

Works well and is another nice addition to the project. Thank you.

On another topic, what ever happened with the Ralink USB wireless stuff? I could really use that here, I have a Ralink RT2870 USB dongle I'd like to use with m0n0wall.

My modification of r510 seemed to work fine but I'm still unsure whether that's the proper way to implement it. Maybe we should start a discussion on the dev mailing list.
