I am running one m0n0wall with 1.231 and recently installed a second with the latest beta (1.3b2).  I'm happy with the performance and added functionality of the latest beta (namely, support for my wireless).  My question is, is there any issues with upgrading from the latest stable release to the latest beta?  Will my configuration remain in tack?  (being very new to m0n0wall, I have yet to do ANY upgrade.)

(BTW, I am LOVING m0n0wall!)

How is your config saved right now? floppy disk? or harddrive?

I do the harddrive version cause I hate messing with floppy disks, and I've upgraded many times in the past with no issues with config. I would however, suggest backing up the config first as thats always a good idea. But you shouldn't have any issues with an upgrade. If you do the harddrive version, its pretty easy to just upload a file and it will upgrade itself.

If you're using CD/floppy, just drop in a new CD. If using a hard drive or CF install, just use the firmware upgrade page to upgrade.

If something blows up, you can drop in the old CD, or use the firmware page to downgrade.

CF install in a couple of WRAP setups.

First rule of I.T. Before making any changes, take a backup.  As long as you have backed up your config, you can always restore to the previous version if you have to.  (Expand Diagnostics and then click Backup and Restore) It should work fine. I had no problems.  The only thing to note is that it takes more space than previous versions and needs greater than 10Mb.
