Hi.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
I've a little pc with m0n0wall versione 1.23 that works perfectly apart the fact that sometimes all connections stop and the screen shows this message: "rl0 Watchdog time out". I can only rebbot the firewall and maybe for a bit of time or for an entire day, all's well. It's all random.
I have a little lan based on 2 pc, a switch, an adsl modem and, of course, m0n0wall.

I guess "rl" means realtek as those are the 2 network card I  have in my firewall.
I tried to change pci slot but nothing changed. Randomly all connections stop.

Please, can anyone help me find out what's going on?

Thanks a lot.

Michele.

Realtek NIC's are junk, but with that said, many times this can be fixed with a BIOS upgrade or changing BIOS settings (like setting PNP OS to no).

Realtek NICs are junk, that's all. I tried all BIOS settings, changed slots, changed IRQ: nothing!
Thanks to Manuel Kasper's advices I bought 2 Intel NICs, 2 pro 1000 and all's going great now.
I payed 60 euros for them but they really worth that sum!

Thanks, bye.
