First off, I think m0n0wall is GREAT but there is just something wrong that's killing me. Right now, it can't even compare to a cheap atheros wireless router!

I just want m0n0wall on the net4801 as a firewall, captive portal, and wireless access point. I have the net 4801 with a 64MB card running 1.3b3 and two atheros wireless cards. I have WAN set up as DHCP, WLAN as private network using WPA, 802.11a. and CP (captive portal) as 802.11g with no wireless encryption. I am not doing anything fancy at all with a few port forwards but no traffic shaping or anything.

Normally, everything works great but I RDP from work into my laptop at home through the private network daily. I noticed that the RDP session will drop once in a while no matter what I do. I have noticed it drop more frequently with more traffic. I "ping -t m0n0wall" to see if internet connection ever cuts but it does not seem to be the case. Internet to the modem and m0n0wall is solid.

I check the log files for any wireless disconnects but that does not seem to be the case either. I get a bunch of wireless key renewals regularly and nothing else.

Today, I was doing some torrenting and I noticed some really weird upstream behavior.

As you can see, there are regular intervals where the upload just drops off for some reason!

I have tried many things like switch to wireless G but no help. I connect to my atheros based router (fonera) and uploads and downloads are solid as a rock!

PLEASE....i've almost given up on my net4801 after installing slow PFSENSE and now i'm almost given up on m0n0wall! Anything you guys can think of to trouble shoot my situation.
