I am having issue with the at&t 2wire modem model 2710G I am also have 5 usable static ips with them. I have tried bridging the 2wire but couldn't get it work with the IPADDRs I had configured with monowall.
I then called their support and got help with configuring the modem again after resetting it. I notice that the gateway the provided for me is the same IPADDr that is configured on the modem. Anyway long story short I still couldn't get the IPADDRs in monowall to work. I then notice when I use pppoe it seems to work but it shows the gateway as the main IPADDR even thought the main IPADDR in monowall which is different from the gateway.  I am in a dilemma and don't know what to do next.

NETWORK - 73.215.8.216
IPADDR - 73.215.5.217 - 221 (not acutall but example)
GATEWAY - 73.215.5.222
NETMASK - 255.255.255.248.

So my question is what IPADDR should be set in the modem before bridging and should I use pppoe to connect or manually assign the IPADDRs to monowall and see it it works. If pppoe is the way to go how to assign the other four ips for use.

Thank u all.

If this has been answered I do apologise but didn't find a definitive answer or anyone else who is in the same dillemma.
