I have tried m0n0wall with many Nokia IP series boxes.

Discussion here: http://forum.m0n0.ch/index.php/topic,1384.0.html

The only Nokia boxes the m0n0wall seems to work in are IP 110/120/130 and 330. I think it might work in 440 too. The 440 is basically just a clone PC with real Intel motherboard in it.

Some time ago, m0n0wall v1.3 did not boot in IP 1xx boxes either; it made a panic and reboot. It was fixed however. What I understand, it is an issue with the FreeBSD kernel so the fixes should go there if anyone ever is willing to do it. I presume these Nokia boxes are somewhat rare and not many people have them (I mean, so much that it's interesting to fix it).

There is a further problem with IP 1xx series, too:

The patch that fixed boot issues in IP1xx boxes does not affect or fix the IP350 (or any others I have tried).
I tried immediately when the fixed release was out.

Too bad, I would like to see my rack-mountable boxes put into m0n0wall use. They have even a CompactFlash socket on the motherboard. Nice boxes, although at the moment useless.

Any word on this?  I would really like to use m0n0wall on this box as there have been a slew of them retired here where I work and it would be good to set these up in our labs.  Grin

Thanks,

-Ed
